Five Web3 Initiatives to Keep an Eye On

This month, a lot of important things happened in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industries. Five Web3 projects that got a lot of attention are talked about.

Audius, which is part of Web3, Teamed up with TikTok

Audius, which is a Web3 platform for streaming music, now works with TikTok. This was discovered on Thursday. By linking their TikTok profiles to their Audius accounts, new users will be able to sign up for Audius accounts. They will be able to import their account, information, and the status of their verification. Users will also share Audius songs on TikTok, which will help Audius reach more people.

Audius is a decentralized music streaming platform that gives musicians and sponsors new ways to make money. It gets rid of middlemen and lets musicians keep the rights to their own work. Audius does not get any of the money that is made. Sponsors of music can get up to 90% of their earnings in the platform’s native token, AUDIO.

Aptos and Outlier Ventures Start an Accelerator

For the Aptos x Outlier Move accelerator, the Aptos Foundation is now taking applications. This is a live program that will take place at the Palo Alto office of Aptos Labs. Developers who use the Move language to build apps will have an advantage.

Aptos Foundation is the group that made the Aptos protocol, decentralized network, and ecosystem. Aptos (APT) is a first-level blockchain from the next generation. It uses its own programming language, Move.

Web3 accelerators are a big part of how the ecosystem grows and changes. They help new businesses get off the ground by giving them money, advice, and other resources.

Jamie Burke, founder and CEO of Outlier Ventures, said, “We see a strong connection between the Aptos Foundation and our goal to help educate and inform startups on how to improve and run their businesses and ultimately get a billion people into Web3.”

“Web3 technologies are being used by more companies and people than ever before, so we need a new type of blockchain that is safe and efficient. By working with the Aptos Foundation as part of the Aptos x Outlier Move accelerator, Outlier Ventures is using its deep knowledge and connections in the industry to help Web3 startups in a way that is unique and effective.

Web3 Veteran Dapper Labs cuts 20% of its Staff

NBA Top Shot’s parent company, Dapper Labs, is reorganizing and letting go of 20% of its staff as part of this process. CEO Roham Garegozlow told investors about the choice on Wednesday. He said that getting the cost structure right is important for long-term growth.

Even though Dapper Labs has had layoffs in the past, Garegozlow said the company is financially stable and has no outstanding debt.

The NBA Top Shot was one of the first big NFTs that caught people’s attention.

Eclipse Starts up the first Solana Virtual Machine Based on Polygon

Polygon (MATIC), Ethereum’s best scaling protocol, has teamed up with Eclipse to launch Polygon SVM, the first scaling solution for Solana. Eclipse is a part of Polygon Ventures, and the Solana Foundation has given it a grant. It will set up the second layer blockchain for Polygon SVM on the Sealevel virtual machine (SVM).

This is to move applications made for Solana to Polygon SVM’s multichain. The new blockchain that is similar to Solana will make it faster for developers to make DeFi games and apps.

Google Cloud and Tezos have Agreed to Work Together on Web3

On Wednesday, Google Cloud and the Tezos Foundation said they would work together. This should help more Web3 applications and new services get made. Also, it will be easier to become a validator on the Tezos network if you use Google Cloud.

The protocol for Tezos (XTZ) is run by the proof-of-stake system, which also helps to reward validators. One of the people who will check will be Google Cloud.

Tezos is a proof-of-stake blockchain that is open source. It has more than 2,300,000 accounts and 158,600,000,000 transactions. For this project, big names like Manchester United, McLaren, and Société Générale are working together.
